MTB development for riders of various skill levels looking for their entry point into bike racing or progression to higher levels of competition. We welcome riders from beginner through expert and aim to meet you at your starting point to help you with goal setting and progression through the season. One of the hallmark benefits of this program is providing riders with coaching and skills to prepare for the fall High School MTB Season.
Starting in April and going through mid-July, riders meet for 1-2 weekly coached team rides throughout the season. Rides are ~2 hours in length and contain a variety of focus areas depending on the time of year, upcoming races, and athlete goals.
April-May: rides are 4:30pm-6:30pm, meeting at various locations in the Superior/Lafayette area to maximize daylight.
June-July: rides transition to mornings 8:00am-10:00am and locations expand to areas including Betasso, Lyons, Golden, and Nederland to offer riders the opportunity for skill and physical development on a range of trails along the Front Range.
Occasional weekend groups rides are offered for riders to bond over long, steady distance rides.
Team members receive a training plan through TrainingPeaks with the ability to communicate with coaches outside of practice through the platform. This builds additional structure for riders that want to continue progressing their training outside of the 1-2 weekly team rides.
Races are primarily made up of local events along the Front Range, and team events include The Bear, Fangdango, and select Winter Park XC Series events.
Team fees for 2025 are $1600 and include coaching, weekly coached group rides, TrainingPlan and communication through TrainingPeaks, plus access to team resources and discounted services through Build Sports Performance and Physical Therapy.
